The Id, Ego and Superego...of motherhood

Henley is still too young to really even grasp the concept of Halloween. In my mind I'm one of those super-festive moms that has cupcakes and decorations for every holiday (we'll call this my mother-superego). Then there is the side that reminds me that at no point will: someone come to my hidden apartment door seeking treats or planning tricks, anyone see any decorations I may or may not put up, I have any time to bake/cook/decorate anything (nor should I eat said treats). This side we will call my mother-id. So, my ego is trying to find a balance between my lack of motivation, time constraints, reality of the holiday and desire to make life fun for Henley. I'm still working on it.

Something festive, but not time consuming...any ideas?
